Current Veo 3.1 Lite rates

As of Oct 9, 2026, Lite (with audio) costs $0.05/s at 720p and $0.08/s at 1080p. Lite does not support 4K — for 4K you need Fast or Standard.

When Lite is the right choice

Use Lite when you expect many failed takes: prompt tuning, camera angles, and motion tests. At 1080p, Lite is about 1.5× cheaper than Fast ($0.08/s vs $0.12/s) and 5× cheaper than Standard ($0.40/s). A round of 20 exploratory 8-second 1080p takes is roughly $12.80 on Lite vs $19.20 on Fast vs $64 on Standard — before you ever render a "final."

Switch up once composition is locked: Fast for polish drafts, Standard for delivery. Related: full cost-per-second table and 8-second clip costs.
